Invitation to MTBO Cup and World Ranking Event, Sunday 12th May 2013
Classification: The event is classified as an A-event and World Ranking Event. The event is open for competitors who are members of a club affiliated to DOF or a national federation that is a member of IOF.
Open classes are open to anyone; the rules concerning cycles, clothing and equipment must be observed, especially that requiring an approved helmet to be worn throughout the race.
Date: 12th May 2013. The Event Office will be open from 9.00, and the first start is at 10.00.
Venue: Ålum skov
Assembly: Sports Centre, Nørre Ålumvej 22, Ålum, 8920 Randers
Map: Fussingø/Ålum, newly-drawn MTBO map 2013: scale 1:10,000, contour interval 5 m. There will be a map turn-over on the 3 longest courses.
Terrain description: Moderately hilly forest with clear path network and largely good rideability.
Classes: D -12, H -12 ca. 3.5 km
D- 16, D60-, D70-, H70- 4.0 km
D-20, D40-, D50-, H-16, H60- 6.0 km
D21-, H50- 8.5 km
H-20, H40- 10.0 km
H21- 12.5 km
Non-competitive Open courses: 4.0, 6.0 and 8.5 km. Registration for Open courses will be at the Event Office between 10.00 and 11.00.
Punching system: SportIdent
Start procedure: Individual start with call-up 3 min before the allocated start time. The map will be issued at the time of starting. This is not in line with the current rulses, but the event´s EA has approved this deviation.
Distances: Parking at the Sports Centre at Nørre Ålumvej 22, 8920 Randers. Distance to assembly area and Event Office in the forest ca. 1,500 m. Distance assembly area to Start ca. 500 m.
Childrens’ courses: None. In classes H/D-12 and Open 4.0 km, shadowing and help at the Start will be allowed.
Facilities: Changing facilities and showers available in Randers OK´s clubhouse which is beside the parking area. Here there will also be a café serving sandwiches, fruit, water, coffee and tea. H/D21- 90 kr.
Hire of SI dibber 15 kr.
Open courses 90 kr. excl. hired dibber
Payment: By club to account 7170-175085-4 along with entries.
Late entries: No late entries, but Open courses can be entered on the day.
